About
the walk:
The Corbett Ben Gulabin (hill of the beaked bird) – 806m, is the imposing hill towering above Spittal of Glenshee to the north. It dominates the junction of Glenshee and Gleann Beag. The visible sides of the hill are intimidatingly steep. However a path rises gently on the eastern flank up into the bealach or col between the hill and its neighbour. From here the gradient to the summit plateau is more tolerable. On a clear day there are fine views down the glen and of the surrounding mountains. Returning to the bealach, a descent can be made into Gleann Taitneach for an easy walk back to the Spittal.
