About the walk:

Take advantage of the organised transport to try this popular through-walk which  passes through open moorland and mixed woods. In the past this area was a playground for the Duke of Atholl’s family and friends. In fact most of the roads and tracks were created to provide interesting circular riding routes from Dunkeld. The high point, Deuchary Hill-509m (a Marilyn - one of over 1500 hills in Britain with a drop of at least 150m all round) is well-known locally as a terrific view point. On the descent past Mill Dam watch out for the resident swans which sometimes build a huge nest in the loch at its northern end.

The finish is in the busy historic town of Dunkeld where there is a choice of places to slake your thirst in.
