Activity Moderate

Distance: Approx 12km/7m and 260m ascent depending on route and what is discussed.
Start: Bus leaves Royal Hotel, Blairgowrie at 09:00.
Finish: Bridge of Cally at 15:30 - bus leaves for Blairgowrie at 16:15.
Limit: minimum of 8, maximum of 12
Notes: Moderate (See fitness note). Hillwalking gear mandatory. Packed lunch required.

About the walk:

This is the most important skill for hillwalkers and ramblers. Over 80% of call-outs for the Scottish mountain rescue teams involve a navigation error of some kind. So if you wish to learn how to use these basic tools properly, or improve confidence in existing skills, enrol for this course. These days are usually great fun too.  Go for a ramble across Cochrage Muir north of Blairgowrie in the company of a qualified Mountain Leader who will help you get the most out of the equipment.  Compass, map and map case provided.
