Start:  Royal Hotel, Blairgowrie. 10:00

Finish:  Strathardle Inn, Kirkmichael.  Bus leaves for Blairgowrie at 16:00

About the walk:  

Kirkmichael is a picturesque village set in the fertile valley of Strathardle. However, in an hour you can be up on the wild deserted moorland. There are many traces of prehistoric settlement up here but now even the farm at Mains of Glenderby is abandoned and derelict. This feeling of remoteness is reinforced by the dark mile of Kindrogan Wood to be passed through on the return to the valley.  The walk is named after the landowner's niece.
