About the walk:

This is an unusual approach to the Corbett, Monamenach (middle hill) -807m which is usually climbed from Auchavan in Glen Isla. Starting at the Glenshee Outdoor Centre, it takes an interesting horseshoe route past Loch Beanie, over Craigenloch Hill, Monamenach itself and Black Hill high above secluded Gleann Carnach, before returning to Glen Shee. There is a strong possibility of seeing, or at least hearing, red deer. The roaring of stags during the rut is one of Scotland’s most emotive wildlife experiences.
