About
the walk:
This is another new walk for the Festival. Forming part of the Newtyle path network, it starts near Burnside Quarry in the Glack of Newtyle and follows the old railway line around and through Newtyle ending at what is now the Belmont Arms, the site of the old Meigle Junction station. The track was taken up following the Beeching cuts so you do not have to worry about meeting any trains! Even at this time of year wild strawberries can still be found and eaten along the way.
