Drimmie Wood to Alyth (Cateran Trail)

Distance: 7km/5 miles. Ascent 90m.
Start: Bus leaves Royal Hotel, Blairgowrie at 11:00
Finish: Alyth Square for refreshments at 13:40, bus leaves for Blairgowrie at 14:10
Spaces: Maximum 12, minimum 6.
Notes: Easy (see Walk Grading). Stout footwear and waterproofs required. Packed lunch/snack advised.

About the walk:

This is one of the final and newest link sections of the Cateran Trail, providing a direct link with Alyth instead of going via Bridge of Cally.  We start high, going through Drimmie Wood on good tracks, before joining the road to Alyth Den at Tullyfergus.  We end at Alyth town centre after walking through the ancient and scenic Den.
