Entertainment
This year to allow for some more adventurous and late returning walks we have reduced the number of organised entertainments.
Friday 3rd October:
Walker's
Welcome and Ceilidh, at 18:00
This is a free reception for participants held in the Royal Hotel. A local produce buffet will be followed by an opportunity to talk and socialise. There will be a ceilidh band for the energetic providing background entertainment. If you do intend coming please book so we know how many to cater for. There is a cost associated with this activity so unfortunately guests accompanying walk participants will be charged £5 per ticket.
Sunday 5th October:
"Mountain Madness"
Royal Hotel at 20:00
Presentation by Alan Stewart, 'Wildlife Detective' in the Royal Hotel ballroom. FREE to participants who have booked walks. Donations and raffle proceeds to help the work of the Tayside Mountain Rescue Team. If you do intend coming please book so we know how many will be attending. There is a cost associated with this activity so unfortunately guests accompanying walk participants will be charged £4 per ticket.
Tuesday 7th October:
Quiz Night, Royal
Hotel at 20:00
Organised by the Blairgowrie and District Hill Walking Club. Cost £2 per person (form teams of up to 4 people with your new or even old friends).
The legendary "Cateran Barbecue Party", Altamount Hotel at 18:00 for 19:00 (Note time!)
Perthshire's finest produce (vegetarian alternatives available). With a demonstration of costumes and swordsmanship of the Caterans Warriors by Laurence Blair-Oliphant and the Ardblair Highlanders. Grand Festival Raffle Draw, and judging of the Photo Competition. Cost £12 per person. The festival organisers gratefully acknowledge financial support from the Blairgowrie and East Perthshire Tourist Association and Matthew MacNaughton of JJ Howe and Son.
