Please let us have the names of people who are in your party, any special requirements, comments, requests for further information, or any medical conditions that we need to be aware of:

Have you undertaken similar walks before? This is important as it indicates your general experience and degree of fitness, we do find that from time to time people struggle on some of the harder walks, which can cause delays and other difficulties.  You will need to be prepared for whatever the weather brings on the day.

Hillwalking and other outdoor pursuits are by their nature hazardous pastimes.  All reasonable steps have been taken to reduce risk.  It is a condition of booking that the participants acknowledge that decisions made by the organisers and walk leaders are final.  Children and vulnerable adults must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  By submitting the application form and/or any payment it is deemed that the above terms and those on the information page have been accepted, and the organisers cannot be held responsible for any problems that may arise from any relevant undeclared matters.  You are also advised to let the walk leaders know if you have any underlying medical condition before leaving.  It may be necessary for a leader or the organisers to bar someone from a walk if in their opinion and based on their experience they are inadequately equipped or have a medical condition that may be exacerbated on that walk or event.  While this is regrettable the organisers and leaders are responsible for the safety of all participants.  Those taking part in the Blairgowrie & East Perthshire Walking Festival do so at their own risk. The organisers and sponsors of the event shall not be liable for any accident or injury, however caused. You are advised to check your own personal accident cover before taking part, a suitable policy can be obtained from www.thebmc.co.uk/insurance.

Selection of a particular route indicates that a walker is aware of the equipment and fitness levels required for that walk which are important for your own safety and comfort as well as the others on your walk.

Please ensure that full payment is received in the administration and booking office as soon as possible, as until paid for a reservation cannot be confirmed.  Payment for walks should be made by 20th August, as after this date unpaid spaces may be given to those on any reserve list.  Bookings can continue to be made up to the start of any walk but to guarantee a place if there is space available payment should be sent with the booking request.  You may pay by credit card if you wish and a PayPal payment email will be returned with confirmation of your bookings.  A PayPal account is not necessary for this.  Alternatively you can send an epayment direct from your Paypal account using your credit card, but please ensure that your full name and address and booking details are attached.  If you wish to pay by cheque, postal order, etc a booking confirmation and invoice will be sent by return.  You can if you wish print this page out with completed boxes (or use the downloadable form) and send with your payment.  Cheques should be made payable to Blairgowrie Walking Festival.  If you send a cheque and haven't received a receipt within about 14 days please contact us as it is not unknown for mail to go astray.
